Merel holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Lethbridge and is currently completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. She has spent most of her professional career working in the field of mental health and has years of experience working with vulnerable youth and youth in crisis.
Merel uses a strength-based approach to help motivate and build on her client’s natural strengths to create a strong foundation of self-compassion. Her primary objective is to help her clients gain insight into their lives and to help them initiate meaningful and transformative change, recognizing that all people perceive and process experiences differently.
