Amanda Fontaine

Amanda has been a counsellor with FCSS since 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree through the University of Regina, a Master of Social Work degree from Dalhousie University, as well as is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW). Amanda has over a 10yrs of professional experience supporting children, youth and adults facing a wide variety of issues including but not limited to trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, family violence, life transitions, relationship stressors and grief processes. She has a particular interest in mental health in the agricultural sector, as this is part of her own personal background, as well as in the relationship that exists between physical fitness and mental wellness. Amanda believes that clients are the experts on their own lives and considers it to be a great privilege to be trusted with their stories and to witness inspiring change take place through the counselling process.
