Ruth Poirier

Ruth first joined FCSS as a practicum student in 2024 and has been a Community Support Worker since 2026. She holds a diploma in Child and Youth Care from Lethbridge Polytechnic and has experience supporting children with diverse developmental, emotional, and physical support needs. As the oldest of a large family, Ruth has been surrounded by children and youth throughout her life and understands many of the challenges families face. She is passionate about helping children and youth discover their strengths, explore their interests, and develop a strong sense of belonging and confidence.
