Amanda has been a Counsellor with FCSS since 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree through the University of Regina and a Master of Social Work degree from Dalhousie University. Amanda has over a 10yrs of professional experience supporting children, youth and adults facing a wide variety of issues including but not limited to trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, family violence, life transitions, relationship stressors and grief processes. She has pursued additional training in both Clinical Traumatology and Accelerated Resolution Therapy for the purposes of working with individuals who have experienced or witnessed traumatic events. She also has a particular interest in mental health within the agricultural sector, as this is part of her own personal background. Amanda believes that clients are the experts on their own lives and considers it to be a great privilege to be trusted with their stories and to witness inspiring change take place through the counselling process.
