Zakk has been the Executive Director of Barons-Eureka-Warner FCSS since 2016. He has a Master of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Lethbridge and the National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration (Level 1) from the University of Alberta.
For over twenty years, he has successfully managed local and regional programs, services, and projects across southern Alberta. Throughout this time, he has reported and been accountable to a broad range of provincial ministries, including Alberta Culture, Alberta Community and Social Services, Alberta Children’s Services, Alberta Health, and Alberta Advanced Education.
Zakk’s leadership philosophy is grounded in a commitment to being open, curious, and accepting of others’ views. He prides himself on setting SMART goals to lead towards the success of programs, projects, and organizations to support the growth and well-being of individuals and communities.
